My FFS friday is a little late, but for good reason. And it's a short one too, for good reason.
So about a week ago I started getting a little swollen eyelid from something (??) that, despite being given antibiotics from my doctor, continued to get worse and worse. Off to the doctor again, who then sent me to the hospital emergency department, who then kept me that night with IV A/B's, and then sent me off to another hospital via ambulance (no lights and sirens). There I stayed for a while only to have had a little minor surgery on Friday to make it go away. So hospital waiting times, waiting for a bed, listening to people in the other room screaming and/or vomitting, getting the shit poked out of me by an amateur teenage doctor......all this is one big old For Fucks Sake.
So, surgery on my eye on Friday... FFS!!!
I have an appointment at the hospital again this week, and I'm well aware of waiting times. So I'm sure I'll have some FFS worthy content for next time.
Just wondering what was wrong with your eye? I had cellulitis of the eye a couple of years ago and it was a total bitch. Hope your feeling better and thank God you can still take the android/iphone in and read blogs in hospital and doctors waiting rooms or we'd all go insane! (Also much more hygenic than reading the magazines....)
ReplyDeleteYes it was cellulitis, plus with an abcess as well so they had to cut and drain it:-( It was horrible!
DeleteI know, my phone was my lifesaver, except the first day as I didnt know I would be staying so long and my phone was flat and didnt get my charger till the next day. But from then it was all good, texting and facebooking is way better than any magazine!
